EVENT TIMES: Labor Seminar Registration/Check-In will begin on Monday, April 28th at 2PM – 7PM. There will be an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) Training Monday, April 28th from 4PM-6:30PM followed by the Spring Board Meeting beginning at 7PM. There is no fee for attending the OIS Training or Spring Board Meeting. All members are encouraged to attend the Spring Board meeting. Labor Seminar Sessions will run from 8:30AM – 4:30PM Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be a one-hour lunch buffet provided at the hotel both days.

TOPICS:  Act  111(Collective Bargaining), Filing and Processing Grievances (contract interpretation and discipline and arbitration appeals, as well as alternate forums such as Civil Service under the Borough, Township, and City Codes, Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (Unfair Practices and Representation issues, such as Regionals and de-regionalization), Pensions and Retirement (under the Third Class City Code, Act 600 and PMRS),  Act 47 and Municipal Bankruptcy, Disability and Killed in Service Benefits (Heart and Lung Act, Workmen’s Compensation Act, KIS Act 51, and Public Safety Officer Benefits), Act 49 (2024) Municipal Pension Buyback, Medical Trust Fund plans.
