In accordance with the IBT Constitution, Article X, Section 5(c), you are responsible for maintaining good standing with your Union dues while you are not working and are subject to automatic suspension once you are three (3) months in arrears. If you are suspended, you will be required to pay re-initiation fees or your delinquent dues amount, whichever is less.
Under Article XVIII, Sections 6 and 7 of the IBT Constitution you have the right to request a withdrawal card. Withdrawal cards cannot be issued later than ninety (90) days from the last month your dues are paid through.
You have three options to avoid being suspended for non-payment of dues, they are:
1. You can remit payment directly to the Local or online through this payment portal.
2. If your absence will be less than three months, you can get caught up to date through UPS payroll when you return to work.
3. You can submit a withdrawal card to the Local. (Article XVIII, Sections 6 and 7)
