Resist, Rise, Organize: Fight to Preserve Our Future!
January 14-19, 2026
The Westin Seattle, Seattle WA

The EWMC Executive Committee is pleased to announce the 36th National Leadership Conference from January 14-19, 2026, at The Westin Seattle in Seattle Washington. The conference theme is Resist, Rise, Organize: Fight to Preserve Our Future! We will meet to address pressing challenges, explore new opportunities for growth, best practices, and strategies to expand EWMC’s vision and goals.

As always, EWMC members will meet as a unified force to network and exchange information, enhance leadership skills, and learn more about issues important to workers and their families. Delegates will have an opportunity to Volunteer to give back to the greater Seattle community by participating in community service projects on January 15, 2026. We have made additional preparations to accommodate ALL Delegates who wish to participate in the Annual EWMC Day of Service!  LU 46 and the Frederick Simmons Seattle – Chapter participate in Community service year-round, and we have prepared to have projects for ALL Delegates!  More details to come soon and will be sent to ALL Chapters.

The leadership conference begins with the all-day EWMC-RENEW pre-conference activities on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The EWMC Opening Plenary begins on Thursday evening, January 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm and concludes on Sunday, January 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm.  The Seattle Martin Luther King Jr. March and Rally is a significant local event, and we strongly encourage all available Delegates to remain in the city to participate. The holiday begins with a local Career Fair, where LU 46 and their Apprenticeship Program will host a booth to engage with the community. Following the Career Fair, attendees are invited to join a community rally, culminating in the Annual MLK March. To support participation, we have arranged bus transportation from the hotel to the event locations. If you plan to attend, please schedule your departure from the Conference for late Monday or early Tuesday to ensure you can take part in this meaningful day of service and solidarity. Please review the conference agenda carefully on the EWMC website at www.ibew-ewmc.comfor scheduling details before making travel arrangements. You do not want to miss any of the scheduled activities.

During the conference, delegates will participate in interactive skill-building workshops, plenary discussions, and Branch and District Caucuses to address workplace issues unique to those areas. Delegates should be prepared to share teachable experiences and best practices in their work environment to help shape and employ sound practices to build and strengthen our union (the IBEW), EWMC chapters and communities. The Annual EWMC National Conference grows every year, and the goal for 2026 is 1000+ Delegates!

All Local Unions and EWMC Chapters are requested to send at least one delegate under the age of 35.
