Coronavirus Cornhole presented by Dana and Parks

Coronavirus Cornhole presented by Dana and Parks

It’s time for the 1st ever Coronavirus Cornhole presented by Dana and Parks!

Dana Wright and Scott Parks are ready to bury COVID-19 in a hole. More accurately, in a cornhole.

Working with the Kansas City Police Officers Memorial Foundation, Dana and Scott, co-hosts of the No. 1 talk radio show in Kansas City, have stepped up to raise money to help law enforcement officers and their families rebuild their lives after a tragic loss or devastating injury.

Bowling Bash raised more than $90,000 in just three years. Coronavirus forced the cancellation of this year’s Bash but Dana and Scott refused to let that prevent them from helping police families. We introduce Dana and Scott’s Coronavirus Cornhole. Whether you are a beginner or a skilled “cornholian,” we invite you to come out and show us what you can do.

Who does my donation help?

This year Dana and Parks have chosen to support two families in blue.

Overland Park Police Officer Michael Mosher was shot and killed on May 3rd, 2020. Officer Mosher was off duty, but in his uniform while en route to work, when he witnessed a hit and run. Officer Mosher called dispatch as he followed the car until the suspect pulled over. Officer Mosher was recording the car stop on his cell phone which showed the driver pulling out a gun. Officer Mosher returned fire, shooting and killing the man before succumbing to his injuries. Officer Mosher is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter. All money raised for Officer Mosher will be put into an account set up for his daughter.

Officer T, a 26-year-old KCPD officer was shot in the head and critically wounded on July 2nd. Citizens called 911 for help because a man was waving a gun at a local McDonalds. Officer T and another officer chased the man who then opened fire on the officers, striking Officer T in the head. Officer T was critically injured but survived. He is now at a neurological rehabilitation center out of state. All money raised will go to Officer T and his family who have moved to be with him during his long rehabilitation process.

The Kansas City Police Officers Memorial Foundation is a 501c3. The KCPO Memorial Foundation is dedicated to building relationships with the community through our outreach programs and taking care of officers who are seriously ill, injured, or killed.
