APRI (A Philip Randolph Institute) is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor- Congress Industrial Organization).  We are a community  education organization promoting positive change on issues that may negatively affect black people.  Get-Out-To-VOTE, Social and Economic Justice Education.

Our chapter members are mostly labor union people of all races that support equal rights of black people yet non union people are welcome with some restrictions with officer positions.
