Lindsay Dougherty is the Recording Secretary, Business Agent, and Organizer of Teamsters Local 399, which represents over 5,000 Teamsters in Hollywood working in the Motion Picture Industry. She was born a Teamster, raised a Teamster, and is a proud second-generation Teamster originally hailing from Detroit, MI. Her career in the Motion Picture Industry has spanned over 15 years, with the last six years fighting on behalf of the Rank-and-File Membership of Teamsters Local 399. Since her time at Local 399, Lindsay has assisted in developing a more diverse, inclusive, and educated Membership.

As an Organizer at Local 399, Lindsay is responsible for negotiating all Term, One-Off, and New Media deals on behalf of the Membership working in Television and Feature Films. She also plays a key role in contract negotiations with the Major Studios, as well as many of the Local’s White Paper Contracts. The uniqueness of the Motion Picture Industry has afforded her the opportunity to fight directly on behalf of the Members of Local 399, developing keen and steadfast negotiating skills. Lindsay also proudly serves as a Vice President on the Executive Board for the Los Angeles Federation of Labor.

Lindsay looks forward to joining the O’Brien-Zuckerman 2021 Slate as a Western Region Vice President where she can take her passion for fighting on behalf of workers in the Motion Picture Industry, and across all Industries, to a National Level. She believes that Union Members are the key driving force behind a strong Union and strong Union contracts and that by investing in Member education, leadership training, and organizing efforts it not only further strengthens the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, but also the broader Labor Movement. She is proud to work alongside the O’Brien-Zuckerman team to ensure a Teamster Strong future.
