Thank you for your interest in the FOP's Legal Defense Plan.  We have done everything we can to make the Legal Defense Plan purchase as seamless as possible.  The information required in the form below is the same information that is required on the paper form that we have used in the past.  With our new application being in a digital form it now allows you more choices on your plan term length as well as the ability to now pay with a credit or debit card.

Billing options:

Option 1:  If you are enrolling in the Legal Defense Plan and you are going to be enrolling in payroll deductions through your current department then please pick the first drop down option and the start up fee of $81.00.  (Check with either your local lodge Treasurer, Secretary, or Agency to make sure payroll deduction is an option.  Some Agencies do not offer payroll deduction.)

Option 2:  If you wish to pay your Legal Defense plan online and not through payroll deduction please choose the drop down that says individually billed.  This amount could be less than the initial $81 start up fee based upon the month in the quarter you are signing up for the Legal Defense Plan.  You will then be responsible for paying future payments through Current Member: Legal Defense Plan site option.

You MUST be a current FOP member to qualify for the Legal Defense. If not a current member, your money is NOT refundable and you will not be qualified for any legal defense.  Your Legal Defense plan will be active as soon as your membership into the FOP has been activated by your local, state, and national lodges.
