On August 26, 2019, I.A.T.S.E. Local 154 began bargaining the first successor contract with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Since then, we've been hit by a pandemic and negotiations have been dragged out longer and longer with bargaining over a COVID Letter-of-Agreement filling the space.
We've come a long way since we chartered in June 2016. In the last four years, we’ve grown our membership by 30%, engaged in activism with community groups and sister unions, participated in training programs including OSHA 10/GES, we’re involved with our local AFL-CIO, and much much more.
The last four years flew by incredibly fast, but we’ve gained a wealth of knowledge. As we look ahead and plan for the future of 154, we anticipate the need to strengthen our Defense Fund. This fund will go towards protecting our wins, and ensuring the next generation of labor leaders have a solid and prosperous foundation.
We could use your help in accomplishing this endeavor. As a thank you for your generosity, you’ll have the option to collect 154 swag. There’s no better time to show solidarity than a bargaining campaign!
Donations of $30 will receive a bargaining t-shirt or tank. Donations of $40 will receive a stainless steel 154 water bottle. All donations $60 and up will receive both swag items.
What started as a phone call and some meetings over tacos, became the light at the end of the tunnel. We need your help to keep pushing for our members' livelihoods on the other side of this prolonged hiatus.
Thank you.
Donations made to a Union in this fashion are not tax-deductible on Federal Tax Returns.
