We are so grateful to the RMHC in the Kansas City area and hope you can join us in raising money for their charity in KC. For years the GKC CLUW chapter has helped and volunteered to serve dinner at the homes on Cherry Street. We want to continue our gratitude by collecting money to help the families staying at the Ronald McDonald houses continue to have a comfortable and warm stay without any cost to them.
Greater Kansas City Coalition of Labor Union Women has chosen the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House as our charity of choice. Our goal is to raise money for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald homes near Kansas City's Children's Mercy Hospital and help alleviate some of the daily cost of food and other essentials. For more than 40 years the Ronald McDonald House has provided comfortable housing, and the care and support families need during their stay at absolutely no cost to them. The Ronald McDonald Houses are equipped with full kitchens and private rooms, serving up to 91 families on any one night allowing families to stay close to their sick child during medical treatments and recovery. This can be a very difficult time for families, but the staff at RMHC is amazing at providing resources and other support to families during their stay, your monetary donation will help keep families close to their sick children.
We hope you will join the members of the Greater Kansas CLUW in collecting monetary donations to help provide the Ronald McDonald House Charities with the opportunity to use the money on essential items needed for the houses. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by April 18th this will help to provide over 91 families with a comfortable and warm place to stay.
